A company Christmas party in Copenhagen typically costs around DKK 1,000 to 1,600 per person, if you want a package that includes a private venue, dinner, drinks and staff.

That is a useful planning range rather than a fixed market price.

A simpler Christmas dinner can start around DKK 800 to 1,000 per guest, while a full evening with an open bar, cocktails, DJ, late-night food or entertainment can easily move beyond DKK 1,500 per person.

If you already have a suitable office or event space and only need food, catering can be considerably cheaper. In 2026, Christmas catering menus in Copenhagen are available from around DKK 295 per person.

The important question is therefore not only how much the party costs per person, but what is actually included in that price.

Below, we break down realistic Copenhagen price levels, current 2026 examples and the choices that have the biggest impact on the final budget.

What does a corporate Christmas party in Copenhagen cost?

For early-stage budgeting, it is useful to think in three broad levels:

FormatTypical price per personUsually includes
Christmas lunch or dinner at the officeApprox. DKK 300-500Food or catering. Venue, drinks and staff are usually separate
Christmas dinner at a venueApprox. DKK 800-1,100Venue, Christmas menu, staff and often drinks during dinner
Full company Christmas partyApprox. DKK 1,100-1,600+Venue, dinner, drinks, bar, staff, cleaning and a longer evening

These are indicative levels based on publicly available Copenhagen prices in 2026.

Always check whether prices are quoted including or excluding Danish VAT (moms). For B2B events in Denmark, many venues and suppliers quote prices excluding VAT, so two offers may look similar while actually being based on different pricing conventions.

Real Christmas party prices in Copenhagen in 2026

To make the ranges more useful, here are examples from Copenhagen venues and suppliers with publicly available 2026 pricing.

Comwell Copenhagen PortsideFrom DKK 1,499 per personPrivate room, Christmas buffet, drinks during the evening and cocktail bar

Prices were last checked in September 2026. Availability, group size, day of the week and optional extras can change the final quote.

The important point is that these packages are not directly comparable on price alone.

A DKK 295 catering menu and a DKK 1,499 hotel package may both be good value, but they solve very different parts of the event.

What should you budget for 50, 100 or 200 guests?

If you want a quick working budget, guest count is often more useful than a single per-person figure.

Using DKK 1,000 to 1,600 per person as a realistic planning range for a venue-based company Christmas party:

Number of guestsIndicative total budget
50 guestsApprox. DKK 50,000-80,000
75 guestsApprox. DKK 75,000-120,000
100 guestsApprox. DKK 100,000-160,000
150 guestsApprox. DKK 150,000-240,000
200 guestsApprox. DKK 200,000-320,000

These figures are indicative and do not include major extras such as headline entertainment, extensive scenic production, transportation or custom-built installations.

Indicative budget by group size

50guestsapprox. DKK 50,000-80,000
100guestsapprox. DKK 100,000-160,000
200guestsapprox. DKK 200,000-320,000
Calculated at DKK 1,000-1,600 per person for a Christmas party with venue, food, drinks and delivery. The bars share one scale up to DKK 320,000.

A party for 200 people will also not always cost exactly twice as much as one for 100.

Food, drinks and service staff scale fairly directly with guest count, while costs such as DJ, project management, parts of the technical setup and some entertainment are fixed or semi-fixed.

Why does one Christmas party cost DKK 800 per person and another DKK 1,500?

Because the packages are usually not selling the same thing.

Venue

Some packages include exclusive use of the venue.

Others only cover the food.

If you host the party at your office, your venue cost may effectively be zero, but you may need to add furniture, tableware, staff, cleaning, lighting and sound.

Food

A traditional Danish Christmas buffet is very different from a multi-course dinner, social dining concept or a menu designed specifically for your company.

The number of courses, ingredients and kitchen ambition all affect the price.

Drinks

This is often one of the biggest differences between packages.

Look carefully at whether the price includes:

  • wine, beer and soft drinks during dinner
  • an open bar after dinner
  • cocktails
  • spirits and long drinks
  • snaps
  • coffee and avec

Most importantly, check how many hours the drinks package lasts.

A package with drinks during dinner only is not directly comparable to one that includes a four-hour open bar.

Staff

Waiters, bartenders, cloakroom staff, cleaning and event crew may be included in the package or charged separately.

A longer party also means more paid working hours.

DJ and entertainment

A DJ is not automatically included in a standard Christmas party package.

The same applies to live music, hosts, quizzes, photographers, photo booths and other entertainment.

For a classic company Christmas party, DJ and sound equipment can therefore become one of the first major add-ons.

Late-night food

If the party continues past midnight, late-night food is often worth considering.

It is also an additional per-person cost on top of the main dinner.

Friday or Saturday? Your date can change the budget

The date can have a surprisingly large effect on the final price.

Pakhus Bryggen is a useful 2026 example. Its standard Christmas party package is publicly listed at DKK 1,190 per person excl. VAT on Fridays and DKK 990 per person excl. VAT on Saturdays.

That is a difference of DKK 200 per guest.

For 100 guests, the difference is DKK 20,000 simply by choosing another day.

Fridays in late November and early December are usually among the most in-demand dates in Copenhagen.

If your company can be flexible, a Thursday, Saturday or earlier date may give you either a lower price or access to a stronger venue within the same budget.

Which extra costs should you include?

Even a package deal may not include everything you want for the evening.

Ask specifically about:

  1. DJ and music
  2. Sound and lighting
  3. Cocktails and spirits
  4. Late-night food
  5. Cloakroom
  6. Styling and table decoration
  7. Photographer or photo booth
  8. Guest transportation
  9. Extra hours after the standard end time
  10. Event agency or project management
  11. Music licensing, where relevant
  12. VAT

A package advertised at DKK 1,000 per person can end up significantly higher if the bar, DJ, late-night food and additional hours are added afterwards.

The useful number is therefore the total cost of the evening you actually want to create, not the lowest headline price.

Is office catering the cheapest option?

Often, yes.

It can be particularly cost-effective if your workplace already has enough space, furniture and facilities.

Madklubben, for example, offers company Christmas catering from around DKK 295 per person in 2026.

For 50 people, the food itself would therefore start at approximately DKK 14,750.

But you still need to consider:

  • drinks
  • service staff
  • tables and chairs
  • plates and glassware
  • decoration
  • music
  • cleaning
  • bar setup
  • cloakroom, if needed

If your office already has most of this infrastructure, catering can be an economical choice.

If you need to rent and coordinate many of these elements separately, the gap between office catering and an all-inclusive venue package can become much smaller.

When does an all-inclusive Christmas party package make sense?

A full-service package is especially useful when you want to reduce the number of suppliers and decisions.

If venue, kitchen, staff, bar, cleaning and furniture come from one place, there are fewer moving parts to manage.

That can mean:

  • fewer quotes and contracts
  • less internal coordination
  • clearer total pricing
  • less time spent by your internal team
  • one main operational contact on the day

The trade-off is usually less freedom to choose your own caterer, bar setup or suppliers.

So the choice is not only about price.

It is also about how much of the production your company wants to manage internally.

How much should you budget for drinks?

Drinks are difficult to compare because package duration and content vary a lot.

One venue may include wine, beer and soft drinks during dinner only.

Another may include an open bar until 01:00.

When asking for quotes, get clear answers to:

  • When does the drinks package start?
  • When does it end?
  • Are wine, beer and soft drinks included all evening?
  • Are cocktails included?
  • Are spirits included?
  • What does an extra hour cost?
  • Is anything charged based on consumption?

That gives you a far more useful comparison than simply looking at the per-person price.

What does an event agency cost for a Christmas party?

If an event agency manages the planning and production, its fee usually comes on top of venue and supplier costs unless agreed otherwise.

Common fee structures include:

  • a fixed project fee
  • a percentage of the total event budget
  • hourly consultancy
  • a combination of the above

In return, the agency may handle venue sourcing, contracts, catering, entertainment, technical production, schedules, suppliers and on-site coordination.

For a simple Christmas dinner for 30 people, that may not be necessary.

For a party with 200 guests, multiple suppliers, a stage, entertainment and a bar, project management can become a substantial part of the job.

How to compare Christmas party quotes properly

If you receive three offers from three venues, compare them line by line.

When should you book a Christmas party in Copenhagen?

If you want a specific Friday in late November or early December, it is worth starting early.

Some Copenhagen venues recommend booking popular Christmas party dates 6 to 9 months in advance.

That does not mean you cannot find a venue later.

But the later you book, the smaller the choice becomes, especially if you also need:

  • a specific date
  • a central Copenhagen location
  • a large guest capacity
  • a private room
  • a late finish
  • special production possibilities

If your date is flexible, the search becomes much easier.

How we calculated the price ranges

This guide uses publicly available 2026 pricing from Copenhagen venues and suppliers including:

We use the figures as market reference points, not as a guarantee of what a specific event will cost.

Pricing, VAT, availability and package content can change, so a final Christmas party budget should always be based on current quotes.
