As a first budget, you can work from four levels:

Prices were last checked in October 2026. Date, guest numbers, extras and minimum spend can change the final price. Kongelunden states the package price as both including and excluding VAT on the same page. We have used the package description, which says excluding VAT, so ask when you receive a quote.
The packages look similar on paper, but they do different jobs. One brings people together around activities and a barbecue. Another is a long evening with dinner and a bar. A third is the experience itself.

How much does a summer party for 50, 100 or 200 guests cost?
A total figure is often easier to work with than a price per person. The table below uses a working budget of roughly DKK 800 to 1,500 per person excluding VAT for a summer party at a venue with food, drinks and staff.

Guide budget by group size
Watch out for minimum spend. Pakhus Bryggen, for example, has a minimum spend of DKK 50,000 excl. VAT, rising to DKK 80,000 on Fridays. With 50 guests at DKK 950 you reach DKK 47,500, so you end up paying for a few more covers than you use.

What affects the price?
Venue and duration
The biggest jump often comes from the length of the event. A 4 to 5-hour package is an afternoon with food and drinks. A 7-hour package is a full evening, with drinks and staff running for several more hours.
Food: buffet, barbecue or food truck
A summer party suits more informal service. A food truck typically costs around DKK 200 to 280 per person for 100 guests or more, but most have a minimum charge equivalent to 40 to 50 covers. Buffets and barbecues scale easily, but plan the quantities so that less food goes to waste.
Drinks and bar
Many packages include wine, beer and water for a set number of hours. Cocktails, mixed drinks and a longer bar are usually what push the price up. Check how many hours the drinks package covers and what happens afterwards.
Music and dancing
If people are going to dance, you need music, sound and lighting. A DJ for a company party typically costs from around DKK 5,500 for 4 hours to about DKK 9,000 for a full evening with sound, lighting and a microphone for speeches. For larger parties of 200 guests or more, the price can reach DKK 15,000 to 20,000. Several suppliers do not state clearly whether VAT is included, so ask.
Activities
Activities give the summer party something to gather around before the evening gets going. A ready-made activity programme with, for example, a pancake wagon, games and refreshments costs around DKK 549 per participant excl. VAT for 50 to 100 participants.
Your own premises or a venue?
A summer party at the office or on company grounds can look like the cheaper option. It can be, if you have the space and the weather cooperates. But much of what a venue provides then has to come from elsewhere.
If you host the party in a tent, the budget needs to cover the tent, flooring, furniture, power, toilets, lighting, staff and clearing up. A tent with flooring for 100 guests or more typically costs around DKK 15,000 to 25,000 excluding transport. According to a tent supplier on Zealand, a complete tent party for 100 or more guests with food, drinks, a DJ and set-up can come to DKK 120,000 to 250,000.

The weather: plan B
A Danish summer is never a guarantee. The plan for rain should be part of the agreement from the start, not something you solve on the morning itself.
Clarify, among other things:
- Is there an indoor space or a tent guests can move into?
- When is the latest the plan B decision can be made, and who makes it?
- Does it cost extra to keep a tent or a room in reserve?
- Can activities and music be moved, or will they be cancelled?
- Is there heating, shelter and lighting if the evening turns cold?
A venue with both outdoor and indoor space makes the decision much simpler.
When should you book your summer party?
Fridays in June and the weeks before the summer holidays are the most requested dates. If you have a specific date or venue in mind, it is a good idea to start in early spring.
If you are flexible on the day of the week, a Thursday or a late-August summer party can give you more options. Some venues also have a lower minimum spend on days other than Friday.
